My name is Tracy, and this is my husband, Nigel. We've been clients of Philpott for around four years, and our financial adviser is called Ben. We approached Philpott in 2018, as we had some finances left over from a house sale and were looking at ways to consolidate our finances to help our retirement. So, we needed financial advice and planning to help us towards an early retirement.

We thought we knew what we wanted, but we certainly weren't sure whether that was the best way forward. So, we were trying to speak to someone who would listen to our situation and find out what sort of help was available and whether we were thinking the right way. After talking to friends at work and realising that quite a few of them have been using Philpott Financial for quite some time, so it just seemed logical that it was a great starting point.

In the first meeting at Philpott, you get that personal touch; you get someone who listens and appreciates what you want to do and where you want to go. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. It doesn't matter how silly you think your questions are, or if you don't understand something, you need something explained again; the guys take time and effort. They're professional. They're welcoming from the minute that you walk through the door.

Working with Ben and Philpott Financial, I think one of the big things for me is that they're always at the end of the phone. We've called at any time when we have any questions, and there is always someone who could help.

Since working with Ben for the last four years, I feel far more secure and happy that the early retirement we want and the things we want to do are achievable. I think I am really comfortable with the long-term goals that we've got in place. I would say I'm probably a nervous investor, or I was a nervous investor, and I've grown in confidence through Ben's help and advice in that field.

If I was to describe Philpott Financial in three words, I would say that they're immediately professional and yet very reassuring.

I think all of the team are knowledgeable. They give you the sense that they have in-depth knowledge of their field of expertise, and they put that across really well. I think the best piece of advice I've received from Philpott is, "It's achievable. Your dream is achievable. And there is a plan to get there." And by working together, their advice has allowed us to see that there is a road that we can travel that's going to allow us to achieve that.
