For the past couple of years, we’ve been searching for a permanent home that we could invest in. Now, we’re thrilled to report that we have bought 18 Commercial Road, next door but one to our current rented office in the centre of Skelmanthorpe village.
We’re thrilled to have found a great spot in the village so we can put down permanent roots in an office that we own.
Previously, the property was a home, so we’ve both rolled up our sleeves and have had a dusty but fun time knocking down walls (Phil and Kirstie would be proud!) to create an office space designed to deliver an enhanced client experience.
When we first started work on the property, we imagined it would need a lick of paint and some new flooring. Of course, the professionals had other ideas.
It turns out we have a whole list of jobs to complete before we can move in, including full rewiring, re-plastering, and a new boiler. Below are a series of photos to give you an idea of the scale of the renovation we’re undertaking:
While we’re impatient to move in and start welcoming you to our new HQ, we’re keen to do all the work required to turn it into a space that we – and you – can enjoy for the foreseeable future.
The new property benefits from lots of natural sunlight, that has been sadly lacking in our current office. Once complete, there will be two private meeting rooms, while an open-plan reception area with comfortable seating will create a bright, welcoming space for more informal chats.
More space also means we’re primed and ready to expand the team and hire more talent to support you and your financial goals.
2024 is shaping up to be a great year for us at Philpott Financial. Not only have we successfully purchased a new office, but we’ve also made the shortlist for two prestigious financial awards:
- Professional Adviser Awards 2024 – shortlisted for Adviser Firm of the Year – North West
- Yorkshire Financial Awards – shortlisted for Financial Adviser Team of the Year.
We’re super excited to invite you to visit us in our new office, once the builders have cleared out, (and we’ve made use of the shower).
Based on current progress, we hope we’ll be able to move in sometime in the autumn – we’ll keep you posted.
